Hebrews 13:8 says: ''Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever.'' So called ''Penecostals'' often argue that Hebrews 13:8 teaches that Jesus Christ is preforming miracles today like he did in the first centuary. They say since Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever that he is doing the same miracles today that he did in the first century. They contend that he is baptizing people with the Holy spirit, giving people miraculous power to cast out devils, to heal the sick, to speak in tongues, to raise the dead, etc. A carful reading of the passage with a desire to know the truth will reveal that it is not discussing Holy spirit baptism or miraculous power to cast our devils, or heal the sick, to speak in tongues or to raise the dead. The idea of any of these things is not in the passage! It is assumed, asserted and added by false teachers!
They do NOT believe that alien sinners MUST DO ANYTHING in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven! They are teachers of FALSE doctrines! Jesus warned of false teachers! He is our pattern! We, too, should warn others of false teachers! Jesus Christ is our pattern! Is Jesus Christ your pattern in reality? He should be!
Many people have changed the time of this act of worship to any day or night they choose. Like wise, although God's word teaches that the Lord's supper should be served every first day of the week many have changed the frequency of the observence of the Lord's supper from every first day of the week to doing it annually, semi annually or quarterly or whenever they decide they want to do so! Many have also changed the time for christians to lay by in store from the first day of the week to any day of the week they desire to do it and only as frequently as they desire.
We pointed out the following: wrong is wrong even though most people accept it ! wrong is wrong even thou you don't get caught ! wrong is wrong even thou it may give a person pleasure ! wrong is wrong although someone does it for someone else ! wrong is wrong even thou a person thinks it's right ! It is obvious some people think it is all right to do wrong in some instances if they do wroung in order to please others. However, such is not the case. The motivation to do a thing may be good or evil, but that does not change the act or deed itself. If an act or deed is wrong within and of itself it is still wrong regardless of the purpose for which it is done.
